UAE is a Great Nation

I missed the first week of Summer school, but the second week was amazing. I learned a lot of things in the microcontroller class, web design class and the English class. In the previous week, we studied about the UAE in the English class with Mr. Wael. We discussed the difference between UAE in the Past and now in the fields of education, heath care, transportation and other topics. It was interesting to learn about our country. I am proud of my past present and future. UAE is a great nation.

Free Health Care for All

In the past, There was no hospitals or doctors. There was only the Hakeem. He used to treat people and sometimes they would die. The transportation was slow and many people died before they even reach the doctor. Now, if you feel sick the ambulance could be there in front of your place in no time. Hospitals are everywhere and doctors are specialized. If you need treatment outside the UAE will take care of you. I feel happy that I was born here. I love the UAE.

Life Changes and People Grow

Football is the most known sport in the world. Most people know how to play Football but some just enjoy watching it. Football teaches you how to control yourself and how to work as part of team. Football is now used for spreading peace and fighting hatred. I as a person who loves football wanted to be a player, but life changes and people grow up and look for different things. When I play football I feel that everything is possible and all my dreams  are fulfilled. I still want to be a part of the football team, if not as a player may be as a coach after retiring from my first  job.

Make the Right Move

There are many differences between IAT and other schools. For example, my school did not have any computers and we only study from the books. At the IAT it I heard it is different because they give every student a laptop computer to take home and do his work on. Other schools do not have teacher assistants like the one we have here at the IAT. SANAD students are helping us a lot in class. At the IAT I do not have to worry about how to come to school because transportation is guaranteed.

UAE Women in the Past and Now

In the past, UAE women stayed at home to take care of their children. They cooked the food, brought the water and made their own dresses. They could not control men. Now, women go to school and work in many places side by side with men. They can be doctors, police officers, and teachers at schools. They are free to choose their husbands and their future careers.

UAE Education in the Past and Now

In the past, UAE people lived a hard life. They were either  fishermen or pearl divers. They used to dive to look for natural beauties like pearls and they fished to sell and eat off their hard work. Some of them were farmers. Education was out of the question. If you can have time to attend the Muttawa’s class you would be lucky. Now life is much easier and schools are a must for all boys and girls. Transportaion from and to the school is provided. The classes are modern and  teachers are friendly. I heard every student at the IAT will be given a laptop. We have come a long way from the Muttawa’s class to wireless technologies.

My Favorite Class

At the IAT I like Microcontroller classes. I like it because I do giant programs with a small microelectronic piece. For example, I can program many things at home like the lighting system. I can control it during the day and night. I like this subject because the teachers at the IAT are good. I would love to study with them next year. If you are looking for a school where you can have fun and study at the same time , there is  only one place for you … IAT Al Ain.

IAT The Road Ahead

I  am Saeed Mubarak Al Shamsi. I am 14 years old, and I am going to be in grade nine next year. I study at Al Sanawber Private School. My grades are high and I am always top of my class. My favourite Subject is Maths. Football is my favourite hobby because I am good at it and because it  teaches you how to work in a team. I also like volleyball and computer games. I think Summer school can be better if we could have more English classes and more sport activities.

I Like Reading Stories

My name Sultan Mohammed Juma Al Kaabi. I am 13 years old. I am in grade eight now. Next year I will join IAT Al Ain. I am a student and my father is an officer in the UAE army. I would like to study at IAT Al Ain because it will help me improve my English. I love horse riding, swimming, and reading stories. I love Summer School at the IAT because there are many activities like fiend trips  and lectures. My favorite subjects are English and IT. My family name is Al Kaabi. I am proud to be Emarati. My name is saeed Salem. I am 14 years old. I am in grade 9. I am from the UAE. I live in Al Ain. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My favorite hobbies are football and swimming. My father is a policeman. I want to be a policeman because to serve my country. Until last year I was at Al Tafawq model school, and now I will study at the  Institute of Applied Technology. Usually I go to cinema to watch action  movies which I like very much. I like to use computers and surf the web to search for information. My favorite subject is a Maths, because it is easy to understand. In me free time, I often play xpox360. My favorite meal is the chicken sandwich. I am happy because I am at IAT Al Ain . Come to Summer School

My name is a Mohammed Salem AL-Shamsi. I am 15 years old. I am in grade 9. I am a student in AL Tamyoz Model School. My favorite hobby is playing computer games and my favorite sport is basketball. I live in AL Ain. In the future, I want to be a pilot. My favorite meal is meat with rice. I love watching movies on TV. I live in mazyad. Mazyad is a beautiful neighborhood. I love to go to Al Bawadi Mall. It is the biggest mall now in Al Ain city. In summer 2010, I attended Summer School at the IAT. In summer School I learn English, Robotics and computer skills. This was the first time for me to work on the MAC computers. I will tell all my friends to come to IAT next year.

Summer School is Back

My name is Rashid. I am 15 years old. I am in grade nine .My school ALTafaweq model school .My favorite hobby is riding horses in Al-Ain horses club .I live in Al-Ain . My favorite sport is football. In the future I want to be a pilot. My favorite meal is fish. I love watching TV .I live in Al Ain.     My father is 35 years old and he is an army officer. My mother work in ADNOC. She is a manager. I have one brother older than me. He is 17 years old he is a student at the Institute of Applied Technology in grade 10. It is both fun and learning. After I saw IAT from the inside now I want to come and be an IAT student like my brother. I Have Learned More English at Summer Challenge

I am proud to say that I attended Ahmed Moustafa’s Class at IAT Summer School. I am not a student at the IAT but my brother is. The IAT has sent him to Australia for a Summer Course. Toolkit for Academic Success was everything I was looking for. I found myself in front of the Camera singing and acting in English. I learned at Summer School that an English class is fun. We played Monopoly, Chess, Scrabble, World safari and treasure hunt in English. We visited nearby cities, museums and parks. The magic word is that we have to speak English all the time. At last it worked and now I am more comfortable when I speak. I have learned more English than I learned at School. I encourage all students to join Summer School next year. Thanks to Ahmed Moustafa for this great class.

IAT Summer School Share the Beautiful Memories

I am Abdullah Hamdan Al Shamsi. I am writing this to say that I enjoyed being here at IAT Summer School. Beside improving my spoken English I thought that Summer School will be a every good chance for me to meet new friends and do other things. My class was very exciting. Ahmed Moustafa, the English teacher comes every morning with a surprise. One day we are writing poems the other day we are acting or singing. The beautiful thing is that we are not afraid of making mistakes. The class was very small. We were nine students so the teacher had a chance to talk to every one of us and answer our questions. I hope more students will come next year to be with us and share the same beautiful memories.

I Have Never Been In a Class Like This

This is the last day for me here at IAT Summer School and I want to say that I had a very good experience. I am from Al Hayer and my name is Mansour Harran. I am a student in grade seven. I have decided to join the toolkit for Academic Success program after I heard about it from my cousin. We don’t practice speaking at our regular school so I want it to speak more. I think I made the right decision when I joined this class with Ahmed Moustafa. We did everything in English. I have never been to a class like this. At the beginning it was difficult but after some time I have found it very exciting. I can speak freely now without being afraid of making mistakes. In my other school we did not do that. The teachers spoke to us in Arabic but Ahmed Moustafa was very serious about that. He wanted every student to use English only inside Summer School. I never thought that I could play Chess in English but I did. It is very hard for me to know that I have to leave Summer School tomorrow. I promise to be here next year to have fun and learn at the same time.

Ahmed Moustafa is very Surprising !

My name is Hashim. I am 12 years old. I have joined IAT Summer School five weeks ago. I heard about Summer School from my mother. I decided to study at the Toolkit For academic Success Program to improve my written English. I speak very good English but I still need to work on my spelling. I have found my teacher Ahmed Moustafa very surprising in class. Everyday we do something different. I never know that I can sing and act in English. Learning was playing and playing was learning. I want to join Summer School next year.
